Safety is a prime concern at NB Power. To further promote safety awareness, NB Power is joining with other leading community-spirited organizations to inform New Brunswickers about electricity. Because:

Indeed, the myths surrounding electricity can be deadly. Working together, reaching out to people in the workplace, home, anywhere they come into contact with electricity, we can dispel these myths and help prevent electrical accidents, injuries and death.

School Programs

In co-operation with concerned educators, NB Power has launched a safety awareness campaign aimed at protecting our youngest and most vulnerable citizens. Specially trained NB Power personnel are available to reach directly into the classroom, making targeted presentations that promote understanding and minimize the risk of electrical contact injury. To further reinforce the safety message, we have educational materials that are freely available to teachers and students. If you are a New Brunswick teacher and are interested in having a safety presentation for your class, please call (506) 458-4448 during normal business hours or mail us this form.

Safety Presentations

Workplace safety is a priority at NB Power – the safety of our own workforce and the safety of all New Brunswick workers, particularly those who work around power lines. As part of our ongoing campaign to promote electrical safety and reduce the risk of accidents, NB Power conducts informative seminars free of charge in response to requests from safety conscious employers.

For further information please contact Erik Matchett - Public Safety at ematchett@nbpower.com or (506) 458-6955.
