Manager, Financial Risk

Operating within the Finance & Treasury Department, the Manager of Financial Risk will be responsible for providing value added financial risk management support and direction across the NB Power Group of Companies, including the Treasury, Fuels, and Energy Marketing divisions. The incumbent will play an important role in the development, design, and implementation of financial risk management policies and procedures, implement and maintain risk management models and methodologies, and provide financial risk expertise to support decision making by NB Power management teams.

As a successful candidate, you possess a university degree, and a background in financial risk management and quantitative analysis acquired through formal education and a minimum of 3 years related, progressive work experience, that includes working with quantitative models. A major in a quantitative analysis subject area, such as mathematics, economics, or statistics will be considered an asset. You are a strong team player, able to build key relationships and interact effectively with various levels of the organization, and work well independently.

You must also demonstrate a mastery of Microsoft Excel, or an equivalent application, for constructing models or manipulating and analyzing complex numerical data.

An eligibility list generated from this competition may be used to fill future vacancies within a period of up to 12 months.
