Payment Plans
To help you budget more efficiently the following free payment plan programs are available, which can be used in conjunction with any of our payment methods:
1. Equalized Payment Plan (EPP)
- Pay the same, equal amount each month
- Monthly bills are issued based on equalized billing payment amounts
- A free service
If you have a billing history with NB Power, please email us or call us at 1-800-663-6272. Your equalized payment amount will be based on yearly consumption divided by 12 months, with an annual settlement billing month that includes an adjustment for actual usage. If you have constructed a new home with no previous consumption, we will calculate your monthly equalized payment amount based on information you can supply using our Residential Equalized Billing Calculator.
Please allow 48 hours for a call centre representative to contact you. For more information on our Equalized Billing option, visit our Services Available to Customers section in our Rates, Schedule and Policies manual.
2. Pre Authorized Payment Plan (PPP)
- Automatic withdrawal from your designated bank account when payment is due
- Saves you time and postage
- Worry-free, guaranteed on-time payments every month
- A free service
- Print the authorization form and mail to address indicated on the form.
