NB Power is committed to diversifying the power system that provides electricity to New Brunswickers.
We've got our eye on the future and we are working hard to find ways to add to the renewable energy portfolio that serves New Brunswick. That's important because it will make us less dependent on oil and fuel, good for the environment and good for the predictability of power rates. We know that New Brunswickers are counting on us to do that.
NB Power is committed to meeting the New Brunswick Renewable Portfolio Standards.
In addition to wind, we continue to explore other potential sources for renewable energy including biomass, small hydro and electricity generated from landfill gas. Just some of the ways we are planning for the future for New Brunswick.
