Payment Plans
NB Power has two free payment plans. These plans are designed to help you budget more efficiently.
- Pay the same, equal amount each month.
- Monthly bills are issued based on pre-determined equalized billing payment amounts.
- A remaining balance is due at the end of one year of Equalized Billing payments. A remaining credit is carried forward and applied to your NB Power account.
If you have a billing history with NB Power and have a registered MY NB Power online account you can now create and/or edit your equalized billing plan by using the Create/Edit Equalized Billing link. If you do not have a registered MY NB Power online account you can either register, email us or call us at 1 800 663-6272.
Your equalized payment amount will be based on yearly consumption divided by 12 months, with an annual settlement billing month that includes an adjustment for actual usage. If you have a new home with no previous consumption, we will estimate your monthly equalized payment amount based on information you supply using our Residential Equalized Billing Calculator.

2. Pre-authorized Payment Plan (PPP)
- Automatic withdrawal from your designated bank account when payment is due or on-demand with a one-time payment
- Saves you time and postage
- Worry-free, guaranteed on-time payments every month or when you request it
If you have a registered MY NB Power online account you can create your pre-authorized payment plan or make a one-time payment at Pay My Bill. Once created you can edit PPP at Edit Pre-Authorized Payment Plan (PPP).
If you do not have a registered MY NB Power online account you can either register, or print the authorization form and mail to the address indicated on the form.
