Point Lepreau administration building resumes normal operations following weekend smoke alarm


Fredericton, N.B. –On the morning of July 20th, 2014, the Point Lepreau Nuclear Generating Station's Emergency Response Team, supported by Musquash and Saint John fire and rescue services, responded to reports of smoke in an administration building outside the protected area at the Station.

The building was evacuated, secured and air quality tests performed prior to return to normal operations.

Operations at the Plant were not affected by the event.
