In order to do our part to help contain the spread of COVID-19, we have moved our operations to essential services only. This includes emergencies, outage restoration, moving requests and essential water heater services. NB Power warns customers of telephone scam

Fredericton N.B – NB Power is advising customers to be on alert for fraudulent phone calls from individuals posing as NB Power employees. NB Power has received a few reports from customers who have received calls from individuals asking customers to make urgent payments by money order to avoid having their power disconnected. 

Customers who receive calls from individuals making these claims are strongly encouraged to report the incident immediately to their local police force, the RCMP or the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre at 1- 888- 495- 8501 or www.antifraudcentre-centreantifraude.ca/.

NB Power also reminds customers to be cautious when receiving phone calls requesting their financial information, or offering products and services.
