NB Power receives approval of a 2.48 per cent rate increase

Fredericton, NB – NB Power received confirmation today that the rate increase of 2.48 per cent for all customers is approved by the Energy and Utilities Board (EUB). The new rate will go in effect today, July 18, 2019.

“We respect the EUB process and appreciate the involvement of the many intervenors who participated in the review of our detailed rate application to justify this rate increase,” said Lori Clark, Vice President Operations. “We have a commitment to provide safe, reliable and affordable electricity to New Brunswickers, which we will continue to do.”

NB Power remains focused on reliability for its customers while maintaining the lowest electricity rates in the Maritimes.
