It is very important for us as New Brunswickers to do our part to help contain the spread of COVID-19.

As the COVID-19 situation in New Brunswick evolves, we’ll continue to adjust and expand our services accordingly. Our Commercial and Industrial energy efficiency programs, as well as our New Home Energy Savings Program are open for new registrations. The remainder of our programs remain suspended until further notice due to the in-home nature of this work.

Supporting our Customers

We understand New Brunswickers may have difficulty paying their bills due to illness, job loss, or requirements to self-isolate as result of the COVID- 19 pandemic.

NB Power has suspended disconnections for non-payment and collection efforts until further notice. We are also:

Deferring electricity bill payments for residential, seasonal and small business customers for up to 90 days from March 19, 2020.

Extending existing payment arrangements.

Delaying our request for a decision on a rate increase for 2020/21, as well as our request for the implementation of smart meters, which the Energy and Utilities Board has agreed to.

Continuing to waive interest for past due balances and late payment charges issued after March 19, 2020.

If you are struggling to pay your bill due to the pandemic and would like to discuss your options, please call us at 1 800 663-6272. We remain committed to working with you to find solutions to make your life a little easier during this time.

For those who can, we encourage you to stay up to date with your payments. This will not only avoid building up a high balance, it will also help us support those who are most in need of financial assistance.

We have tools in place to help make budgeting easier going forward:
