Gaëtan Thomas - President and CEO
Gaëtan Thomas was appointed President and CEO of NB Power in January 2010. Prior to his current position, Gaëtan served as Vice President of Nuclear. Gaëtan has a proven track record of close to 30 years of operations experience in many areas of our business including Generation, Transmission, Distribution and Customer Service.
Michael Gorman - Vice President of Legal and Shared Services
Michael was appointed Vice President Legal for NB Power in May 2005. In 2006, he also became responsible for regulatory affairs within NB Power and in 2010, Michael also assumed responsibility for Shared Services. Prior to joining NB Power, he was the Project Director for the MRDC Construction Joint Venture and President of MRDC Operations Corporation, the developers who built and continue to operate the 200 km four-lane highway between Fredericton and Moncton.
Blair Kennedy, Vice President of Generation
Blair was appointed Vice President of Generation (Nuclear and Conventional Generation) in April 2010. Most recently Blair was part of NB Power’s Strategic Planning Group. Blair began his career at NB Power and he has held various roles including leadership positions in Generation and the Strategic Planning Group. Prior to joining NB Power, Blair worked in the pulp and paper industry.
Darren Murphy - Vice President of Finance and Human Resources
In February 2011, Darren was given the added responsibility of Human Resources. Prior to his current position, Darren was named Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer in March 2010 and prior to that he held the position of Vice President of Transmission, Distribution and Customer Service. Darren began his career with NB Power in 1990 as a Business Trainee, and has held positions of increasing responsibility within Distribution and Customer Service. He was named Regional Manager of Customer Service for the Southern Region in 1996 and the Eastern Region in 2001.
Sherry Thomson – Vice President of Customer Service, Distribution and Transmission
In March 2010, Sherry was named Vice President of Customer Service and Distribution. In April 2010, Transmission was added to her area of responsibility. Most recently, Sherry was Director, Enterprise Risk Management, a position she held for three years. Sherry began her career with NB Power in 1984, and has held positions of increasing responsibility within NB Power’s Generation, Human Resources and Finance divisions.
