Smart meters are now NB Power’s standard meter, with over 370,000 installed across the province.
Effective September 1, 2026, eligible customers who choose not to get a smart meter will pay a monthly fee of $4.65.
If you currently have a non-standard meter, you can switch to a smart meter at any time.
